About Revolve
Revolve was a personal project in which I imagined an application that would help expose people to albums that are widely considered to be the most important, influential, and classic of all time.
The way most people consume music currently puts an emphasis on playlists based on algorithms that understand your preferences and habits. This unfortunately can mean that experiences on the most popular streaming services can be very limited which keeps users from exploring different genres as well as listening to albums in their entirety. To solve this I designed an application that helps users discover new music and genre through a randomized shuffle of the most influential/culturally important albums based on Rolling Stone’s Top 500 Albums of All Time list.
